Ron Montgomery - Lead Photographer
I have had a varied and winding path to becoming a photographer. I spent my early years in the Navy learning electronics and computers. My first ship needed a photographer and I volunteered. I was sent to learn photography and how to work with and process 35 and 70mm film. Working with the larger film allowed me to better understand how small changes to camera can make important changes to the image.
My last duty station was working at the White House Communications Agency. It was while working at WHCA that I found myself working closley with some of the best photographers in the country. They gave me the words of encouragement to further my photography into a career.
I met my wife while stationed in Charleston many years ago. After leaving the Navy I stayed in the Washington, DC metro area for five years. We decided to leave the fast pace of DC and return to the Low Country to raise our two children in 2008.
My passion is working with small companies. Finding ways to help companies grow through the use of images is so much fun. Many new companies do not realize how important first impressions are, and the images they show are a large part of that first impression.
